Giving you straight to the point steps to structure and intention when making your social media posts, worksheets, and other business visuals without complicated design jargon plus a community of other self-employed females looking for the same guidance… most importantly if you’re not naturally creative, with the added Perimenopausal Paranoia when something you’ve designed doesn’t look quite right but you don’t know why Victoria illustrated is on hand to give a honest second opinion to guide you to literally Look Less 💩!

WHO IS VICTORIA?
That's me (the non-illustrated Victoria)...
Over 10 years ago I taught myself digital illustration and turned
my career from child-care to graphic design more specifically
brand illustration for businesses. And I’m good at it because I’m
naturally creative, I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil,
I have an eye for straight lines, matching bits & bobs and a crafty
talent BUT baking, swimming and driving I never learnt or got good
t because 1. they just don’t grab my interest and B. I don’t have the
natural talent for them & that’s ok I’ve got by in life!
However as a self employed business owner there are things you can’t avoid, there are some things you have to learn and not necessarily be an expert in but at least know the basics (like keeping your own accounts) and another very important one is Visual Design!
Not only does your business need to be seen, it needs to be Remember-able, Retain-able, Recognise-able and Relay-able and that's my main job drawing up bespoke graphics to draw in the right crowd. However if you're creating all your business visuals yourself knowing the basics of design will help you understand how best to communicate with your customers with Clear Consistent Content so I'm here to do that too. Even though I’ve been doing my thing for over a decade I created my business so I could continue to stay home with my children while earning a living and some areas of my business are still at the stage where I started. Now my children are learning to stand on their own 2 feet (which pains me as I’m no longer needed as much) I am gaining more time to concentrate on my work though being over 45 I have the next struggle of female life which I know other self-employed Mums will be facing too. Self-employment can bring loneliness at anytime but with that added struggles of Peri/Menopause those feelings can be exacerbated (that’s a big word for me). It says it on the tin ‘self’ you’re making so many business decisions on your own…some just on a whim. That’s why I’ve built the Look Less 💩 Membership to help in at least one area and put my creative skills, knowledge and bonus time to good use. The phrase ‘...does this look ok?’ and ‘...can you make this look less 💩’ has landed in my inbox more times then I can shake a stick at so I’m going to be here sharing the bits & bobs I’ve learnt over the years and offer you a second set of eyes on the visuals you’re making, along with a supportive space with similar non-designer self-employed Mums.

How much time do I need to commit?
The membership is designed to be used at your own pace, open the emails and give then a read, browse the UnPauseable Brand Wardrobe collections, pop in and out of the community. At our time of life and the overwhelming world of design, branding, content and business tips available it can be a lot to process all at once ,take your time…but not too much that you never push the UnPause button!
